Igor Stimac becomes the new coach of the Indian football team
will have a tenure of 2 years
The Indian football team has got its new coach. Igor Stimac, a member of Croatia's World Cup team and former manager, will now take over this new responsibility. AIFF signed a two-year contract with him. He will replace Stephen Constantine. The technical committee recommended his name for this top post a few days earlier.
The 51-year-old Stimac, a member of the third-placed Croatian team in the World Cup 1998, was selected by the technical committee, which interviewed four candidates on 9 May. Stimac was the only candidate who appeared for the interview himself.
